The Evanston Public Library is pleased to offer a digital collection of audiobooks, ebooks, and video that can be accessed from the comfort of your home 24/7. We have hundreds of titles to choose from including fiction, non-fiction, youth and classics. These titles can be downloaded to your PC or PDA , burned to a CD, and transferred to some MP3 players ( but not Apple iPods). They are automatically returned so you incur no late fees!

What do I need to download Digital Books?

• A valid Evanston Public Library card
• A personal computer (not a computer in the library)
• Reader software (which is free and available from the website)
• Brief access to the internet

How do I begin?

• Download, install and register the free reader software
• Select the books you want
• Check them out with your Evanston Library card
• Download your Digital Books to read or listen!
